who knew

"Someone said count your blessings now 'fore they're long gone..." That's a taller order than I can manage (even in heels). Yet, not being one to stand down from a challenge... As a side note, my new years resolutions next january includes conquering this darephilia!

So here is a shout out to the true friends who gave precious feathers so that I could have wings.

    Anyway, I'd imagine the non-ESL-friendly nature of this post must mean that you are not a true friend. :-P

    I'm a bad, inconsiderate friend to put non-ESL vocab up. But if it makes JRP's around the world feel any better, "darephilia" is not actually a real word. It means "love of dares" which while technically not true, is historically accurate. ;-)

    As to the nature of true friends???? I think ya'll know who you are.

    I actually overcame my ESLeness, and googled it, couldn;t find anything; then googled just 'philia" and figured it out all on my own!
    Yes, if anyone is darephilic it would be you, Rach!

    and thanks for the numerous interpretations to JRP. It's original meaning is: Jewish Russian Princess; but I like Felix's better...

    HELLO?!?!?! This post was supposed to be a sappy "rachel is not sure where she belongs --feel sorry for her." Whatever JRP is supposed to stand for, please remember that I need to remain the center of attention. (Duh!)

    I don't want to come across like a vampant narcissist (though of course I am one)... so please try to keep the focus where it belongs so that I can keep my true self well concealed. :-)

    But yes, I'll second Yanya. Yay, Yachel! We are glad to have you back in the States (if only cuz then you'll get your attention in person and will stop whining when comment threads drift as they are often wont to do). :)
